For me, the E34 and E39 will always be the prettiest, and I've never been able to decide between the two.

I agree 100%. However I will give the F10 some respect it looks much better in person than any photo I have seen

I always felt that the E60 looks like a mess.
The F10 is attractive, but it's just too damn huge to for me to be smitten with it. It would look so much better if it were %80 of the size...oh wait, that's a 3-series.

I don't like the standard E60. But the M5 in black is just so menacing. I like how evil it looks (and sounds).
I agree the F10 is too big. I just LOVE how it looks. It's such a pretty car. I wish they had made the F10 look like something else and made the 3 Series look exactly like the F10. Then the new M3 could have looked exactly like a smaller M5.

I'm biased, having owned an E60 and now an E39 M5, but my list is: E39, E60, E34, F10, & E28. For me the E28 never looked "tough" enough, like the other M5s do.
That being said, when the E60 first came out, I didn't like it compared to the E39. Then, for reasons unknown, I started to like it... then bought one. I'm kinda the same with the F10 where I'm not thrilled with the nose (looks "smashed" to me), but maybe in a few years I'll feel different.

The Bangle M5 (sorry, I don't know BMW code names that well). I just love the design. Honestly I think the Bangle era is underrated as a whole.

Pretty close to my feelings. Swap the top two for me. Though I'm sure I could be lured by a well priced E28. Easily.
